  • A History of Safety Performance
    With a current EMR of .76 we can ensure our customers that not only do we take safety seriously, but we also have a historical record of safety performance. Safety is the upmost priority for our employees, our customers, and our jobsites and we have put in place a comprehensive safety program, along with state-of-the-art safety equipment that allows our teams to be some of the best trained and safest in the in the industry.

  • A Heavy Investment into Training
    High Plains has a firm belief that a well-trained workforce is a safe and effective workforce. We invest heavily into training; teaming with Trivent Safety Consulting, High Plains provides craft training, positional training, and an NCCER (National Center for Construction Education & Research) Ironworker Apprenticeship Program which is certified by the United States Department of Labor. Focusing on training allows High Plains to ensure that EVERYONE GOES HOME HEALTHY!

  • A Commitment to Accountability
    To make certain that we stay sharp and continually focus on safety, High Plains conducts weekly safety audits on all job sites and fabrication shops. Additionally, we have random third-party safety audits to ensure that our projects are being performed in a safe manner and that our employees and our customers are held accountable to maintain a safe working environment.

High Plains was featured in the Fall 2023 issue of Connector Magazine to highlight our custom Elevated Lifeline System. The article expands on the benefits of the system, and how we specifically engineered our own lifeline to meet our safety standards. We are honored to be featured for our specifically designed system that helps us emphasize safety first!

AISC AWARD OF HONOR
3 Star Award – 2022

High Plains finished the year 2022 with no recordable injuries. In recognition of this achievement, High Plains was honored to receive the Award of Honor from the American Institute of Steel Construction in 2022 for both their fabrication and erection divisions.

CONNECTOR MAGAZINE – FALL 2020 “Profiles in Excellence”

High Plains was recognized for their efforts by winning two awards for their safety and training programs from the Steel Erectors Association of America. We were honored to be profiled in this article, given the opportunity to have our safety and training programs highlighted on a nation level.

SEAA – Safety Excellence Award – Gold Recognition – 2020

High Plains continued to boast our safety record in 2020 by celebrating three years with no lost time injuries in the Erection Division! In recognition for our safety record we were honored to receive the Safety Excellence Award – Gold Recognition from the Steel Erectors Association of America (SEAA) in 2020.

High Plains and partner, Trivent Safety Consulting, have taken our Ironworker Apprenticeship program to the next level achieving certification by the United States Department of Labor.

SEAA – CRAFT TRAINING AWARD – World Class Recognition – 2020

High Plains was honored to receive the Craft Training Award – World Class Recognition from the Steel Erectors Association of America (SEAA) in 2020. High Plains qualified for this award by providing over 1,100 craft training hours in the prior year which included 88 training certificates. Additionally, the NCCER Apprentice of the Year Awards, level one and two, were both won by High Plains ironworkers!
